Ninth anniversary of the second European Super Cup
NEWS.
Today marks nine years since Real Madrid got their hands on a second European Super Cup. On 12 August 2014, having won La Décima just a few months earlier, the team clinched another continental title in Cardiff Wales, beating Sevilla thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo brace 2-0. The Portuguese ace was named man of the match.

Real Madrid went ahead with half-an-hour gone, when Cristiano Ronaldo turned home a sublime Gareth Bale cross from the left-hand side. In the second half, the forward made sure of the win with a fizzed finish across goal. Victory saw the madridistas lift the trophy again, some 12 years on from their first European Super Cup.
