Laso: “We were very good offensively and defensively”
'I'm happy to get the win, the work we've been doing is now bearing fruit this week', added the coach.
Pablo Laso gave his thoughts on Real Madrid's win over Hereda San Pablo Burgos on matchday 24 of the league season: "We knew it wasn't going to be an easy game for us as it was our fourth in seven days. They came in to the match on a good run, they had won their last two games. We did well defensively and managed to limit the output of players like Renfroe and Benite. From that point on, we were in control of the game".
"We were very good offensively, we moved the ball around very well and had some open shots. Our only drawback was the turnovers. A lot of them were a result of fatigue, down to the feeling of dominance in the game. The fact is that we provided 23 assists, moved the ball well and were aggressive. I'm pleased with the win".
Yabusele
"He had a very good game in terms of the percentages, but credit also goes to the team for people picking him out. He didn't have any forced shots. I'm happy with his percentages but, more importantly, I'm happy with the team's work. I would also like to mention Abalde, who had a good game. Generally speaking, we managed to read the game well from the off".
Mentality
"I like to win. When we win, I'm thinking about what we can do better and the same when we lose. It's been a very difficult few weeks for the team. There was a break in December, a lot of games in January, a new player joining, the Copa del Rey, injuries and these are circumstances that don't help. That's all I worry about".
