Chus Mateo: "We're working well and we never give up"
Chus Mateo and Walter Tavares analysed Real Madrid's victory away to Asvel in the last game of the first half of the EuroLeague. The coach said after the game: "We had to fight to come back because they had a big lead at the start of the third quarter. We reacted and tried to play our game, something we were not managing to do. We had to try different things today and it was good because in the end we won by fighting against a team that never gave up."
"At the start of the last quarter we started to run a little bit more and play our passing game. That's how we want to play. Today it wasn't easy to do because their physical performance didn't let us play easy like in other games. They played very good defence and didn't let us share the ball well like we usually do, but in the end we were able to find a window to pass through."

Tavares: "It was a tough game"
"It was a tough game, but we knew that if we played as hard as they did we would have a chance at the end and that's what happened. We believed in our game and that helped us win today."
"The game is decided in the last quarter and in the last quarter you have to give everything. We did a great job, played in a smart way and scored some good points despite the fact that they were playing very hard."
Chus Mateo y Walter Tavares analizaron la victoria del Real Madrid en la cancha del Asvel en la última jornada de la primera vuelta de la Euroliga. El técnico dijo tras el partido: “Tuvimos que luchar para remontar porque ellos lograron una gran ventaja al inicio del tercer cuarto. Reaccionamos e intentamos hacer nuestro juego, algo que no estábamos logrando. Tuvimos que intentar diferentes cosas hoy, y estuvo bien porque al final ganamos luchando contra un equipo que nunca se rindió”.
"En el inicio del último cuarto empezamos a correr un poco más y a jugar nuestro juego de pases. Así es como queremos jugar. Hoy no era fácil ejecutar porque su desempeño físico no nos dejó jugar fácil como en otros partidos. Jugaron muy bien en defensa y no nos dejaron compartir bien la pelota como solemos hacer, pero al final fuimos capaces de encontrar una ventana por la que pasar".

“Significa que estamos trabajando bien desde el principio de la temporada, nunca nos rendimos e intentamos hacer nuestro mejor trabajo en cada partido".
Tavares: “Fue un partido duro”
"Fue un partido duro, pero sabíamos que si jugábamos tan duro como ellos tendríamos una oportunidad al final y eso es lo que pasó. Tuvimos fe en nuestro juego y eso nos ayudó a ganar hoy”.
"El partido se decide en el último cuarto y en el último cuarto tienes que darlo todo. Hicimos un gran trabajo, jugamos de una forma inteligente y anotamos buenos tiros a pesar de que estaban jugando muy duro".
