Real Madrid broke its own record of victories in a year against Monbus Obradoiro. Our team can now boast 69 wins in 2023, one more than in 2019. Furthermore, there are still five games left to play this year.
The team coached by Chus Mateo won its eleventh European Cup in 2023 in Kaunas, with Llull's historic shot against Olympiacos, and the Spanish Super Cup in Murcia beating Unicaja in the final. This year also saw another unprecedented achievement, the epic comeback in the Euroleague playoff against Partizan.
Start to the season
Madrid has started the season in style, with one of the best starts in its history (19 consecutive victories and more than two months unbeaten). They are league leaders and have become the first team to qualify for the next Copa del Rey. They also lead the Euroleague, where they have established the best start under the current format. The 69 wins are divided into 35 in the league, 31 in the Euroleague, 1 in the Copa del Rey and 2 in the Supercopa.
