Real Madrid close out a Euroleague double-header tonight as they host Russian side Zenit at the WiZink Center. It's set to be another big test for the competition's table-toppers and best home side. Our team have won all 12 games on home soil, most recently on Wednesday against Olympiacos, courtesy of a huge comeback, and will now seek what would be a ninth win on the bounce in a week which has seen 3 games inside 5 days.

It's the second time this week the WiZink Center will host a European tie, on this occasion, the visitors are the fourth-placed side heading into matchday 25. Madrid have 19 wins from 22 games so far, a run of 8 victories in a row, but tonight's opposition are sure to be dangerous. Zenit have won half of all their games on the road 7 after beating Baskonia in Vitoria on Tuesday. They're a real threat away from home, reflected in wins at tough grounds including Crvena zvezda, Monaco and Anadolu Efes, among others.
The numbers make positive reading for Laso's team, who sit in front in almost every respect. They're scoring almost 9 points more than their rivals tonight 81 to 72.4, although there's nothing to choose between them in defense, where they each concede an average of 72 points. Xavi Pascual's men are a big threat from the three-point line 36.4% success, with shooters like Baron Jr. and Lloyd. On the inside, Madrid will have to watch out for Mickey and Poythress, in the absence of Gudaitis. Our interior is looking strong right now, with three names leading by example, in Tavares, Poirier and Yabusele.

Two wins away from a record tally
One of the key factors which has seen Madrid rise to the top of the Euroleague is their solidity at the WiZink Center. Not one of the 12 teams who have visited the Spanish capital have come away with a point so far. It's another test for Laso's boys, who could go on to equal their record from the 2013-14 season in the Clásico clash on February 11. Not only that - a win today would equal their third-best all-time winning streak, with 9. Madrid have won the match-up on the last 4 occasions in the Euroleague, last time out in Russia by 68-75.
