Guard of honour for the champions at the Santiago Bernabéu

The Santiago Bernabéu was the scene of the guard of honour between the LaLiga champions and the Copa del Rey winners. Shortly before the clash, corresponding to the final matchday of the championship, the Betis players formed a tunnel on the Santiago Bernabéu pitch to welcome the LaLiga champions. Real Madrid clinched the title on matchday 34, after a home triumph over Espanyol. The Real Madrid players then formed another tunnel to honour Betis for winning the recent Copa del Rey against Valencia at the La Cartuja stadium.
