Benzema becomes Real Madrid's second all-time top goalscorer

Thanks to his goal in the UEFA Super Cup final, he brings his tally to 324, overtaking Raúl's record.

Karim Benzema scored against Eintracht Frankfurt to become the second highest goalscorer in Real Madrid's history. The Frenchman has now hit 324 goals four our club, overtaking Raúl's 323 between 1994 and 2010. Now only Cristiano Ronaldo sits ahead of him on the list of madridista goalscorers, with 451.

The forward was on target in the first official match of the 2022/23 season, carrying on where he left off from the previous campaign, during which he set a new scoring record (44 goals). Benzema opened his madridista account on matchday three of LaLiga 2009/10 against Xerez and has since gone on to win it all with Real Madrid. His incredible trophy haul comprises 21 titles: 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 4 European Super Cups, 4 LaLigas, 2 Copas del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
 
His 324 goals have come spread across six competitions: 219 in LaLiga, 74 in the Champions League, 21 in the Copa del Rey, 3 in the Club World Cup, 5 in the Spanish Super Cup and 2 in the European Super Cup. His favourite opposition as a madridista are Athletic (18), Valencia (15) and Granada (14).
