Benzema moves level with Raúl as second highest goalscorer in Real Madrid history

The French forward has now hit 323 goals and only Cristiano Ronaldo, with 451, sits above him.

Karim Benzema has moved level with Raúl as the second highest all-time goalscorer at Real Madrid. His strike against Levante means the Frenchman has now hit 323 goals as a madridista, the same figure achieved by Raúl between 1994 and 2010. Now only Cristiano Ronaldo sits ahead of him on the list of madridista goalscorers, with 451.

The forward has notched 44 already this season to mark the most prolific campaign of his career to date. He opened his madridista account on matchday three of LaLiga 2009/10 against Xerez and has since gone on to win it all with the club. His incredible trophy haul comprises 21 titles: 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 4 LaLigas, 2 Copas del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
 
His 323 goals have come spread across six competitions: 219 in LaLiga, 74 in the Champions League, 21 in the Copa del Rey, 3 in the Club World Cup, 5 in the Spanish Super Cup and 1 in the European Super Cup. His favourite opposition as a madridista are Athletic (18), Valencia (15) and Granada (14).
