Goals for Esther, Nahikari and Athenea clinch a third win inside seven days for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid close out the year with a convincing win. Alberto Toril's team clinched three points against Sporting de Huelva to seal a third win inside seven days, following successful clashes with Kharkiv and Madrid CFF. Esther, Nahikari and Athenea all hit second-half strikes for the madridistas. Athenea was the first to try her luck from the edge of the box but her shot skimmed narrowly over the bar (6’). Five minutes later, Esther tested Chelsea twice in quick succession but the goalkeeper was equal to her efforts on both occasions.

With half-an-hour gone, Misa produced a superb diving save to prevent Keane firing the visitors ahead. Despite Madrid dominating the attacking play, they were unable to finish off any of their chances. On the stroke of half-time, Esther again came close to opening the scoring after a fine Athenea, cross, but Chelsea did well once more to keep the game level. Our team continued to look dangerous following the restart but the goalkeeper was intent on keeping the madridistas out.

The breakthrough finally arrives
Maite Oroz
was the first to cause problems when her shot was blocked by the defender (53’) before another long-range effort was yet again kept out by the visitors' goalie. The madridistas' persistence did finally pay off with just about an hour gone when Rocío swept the ball into the box and Esther turned home at the second time of asking. Minutes later, Nahikari doubled the lead when she latched on to a Zornoza pass, before Athenea unleashed a fierce right-footed drive which nestled into the corner and made sure of the points for the madridistas.
