The Real Madrid Foundation is currently hosting over 350 children and families from the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico who are attending clinics held at Real Madrid City from 14-26 November. The attendees are the first participants to travel from the American continent for a Foundation event since the pandemic brought all activity to a standstill in 2020.
The children were excited to receive a surprise visit from one of their heroes in the shape of
Lucas Vázquez. All of the participants were very excited by the visit given that they didn't expect to meet any Real Madrid players. The advanced technical clinics are designed for youngsters who have some experience of the sport and are seeking to enhance their skills, whilst receiving training in positive sporting values, along with all of the activities led by the Foundation in the education field.

Training sessions at Real Madrid City
This week's clinics are being run in conjunction with four local in-country partners: Kaptiva Sports, Avanza Sports, ISL Agency and Inusports/Eurosoccer. Last summer saw over 3,000 children from 49 cities across the United States and 350 children hailing from four Canadian cities train and learn as they followed the Foundation's methodology.
The participants' rounded off their experience with a training session at Real Madrid City and a visit to the Tour Bernabéu. The sessions at Valdebebas brought the curtain down on this amazing experience, which was led by the Real Madrid Foundation coaches and endorsed by Real Madrid's Football Department. The demand for the Foundation's clinics has continued to increase this season as the health situation improves.
