Real Madrid faces a week of three road trips in a sequence of four games in 10 days and tonight opens a EuroLeague double-round week in Russia. In the space of less than 48 hours the Whites will face off against Zenit and Unics Kazan. The team will go in search of a fifth win in the competition and the first on the road against opponents it has beaten in the teams' three meetings. Pablo Laso has named a 14-man roster for the game, including Llull and youth teamer Eli.
After three straight EuroLeague games at the WiZink Center that yielded a clean sweep of wins (over Monaco, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahçe), it's now time for a trio of road trips, two of which are in Russia before next week's visit to Bayern Munich. The madridistas, who sit third in the standings (4-1), will be keen to chalk up a first away win of the campaign. Zenit, meanwhile, made a fine start with back-to-back wins, before suffering two defeats in its last three match-ups, although the Russians did claim victory in the last outing on its floor, against Bayern.

Real Madrid travels to Russia with the absences of Williams Goss, Randolph and Thompkins, whilst Llull is in contention after recovering from his shoulder injury. The Whites will be up against opponents who have impressed more in the defensive stakes than the offensive department. It promises to be a very demanding game in a physical sense, with Xavi Pascual's troops boasting some powerhouses in the shape of former madridista Mickey, Poythress, Gudaitis and Ponitka, amongst others. Our team has to reproduce the performances that have seen it ranked as one of the best attacks in the EuroLeague (80.4 points on average). The defense has also shone, with the opposition being limited to under 70 points in three of the team's five wins and these were victories over sides of the standing of Anadolu Efes, Panathinaikos and Fenerbahçe.
Unbeaten against Zenit
The two teams have faced off three times and Real Madrid has prevailed on each occasion, winning on Russian soil in both of last season's trips and also once in the previous campaign. The last head-to-head was in March, when our team ran out 71-75 winners, with 16 points and nine rebounds from Tavares. Today's match-up marks the first of four road trips in the space of 10 days.
