NEWS | 11/11/2019

The match will be played on Wednesday 8 January at 8pm at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeda, Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid will face Valencia in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup after the draw held in the Ciudad de Fútbol in Las Rozas, Madrid. The match will be played on Wednesday 8 January, 8pm CET, at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeda, Saudi Arabia.  The Super Cup will be contested in a final four format. In the other semi-final, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid play on Thursday 9 January. The final will take place on Sunday, January 12 at 7pm CET.

Butragueño: "We'll have to play great football to win"
"They are powerful opponents and we will see how we go into it, always trusting our players, aware of the difficulty in a competition with a new format and where, as always, we will try to do everything possible to win it. We have a while before the match but I think the format will be a special motivation, at a neutral ground and I think the competition has its attraction".

"All the teams that are involved are fantastic and we will have to play great football and have that bit of luck that is always needed to win titles, but we have a squad that brings hope and expectation".

The opponents
"It is true that we will play against Valencia a few weeks before but they will be different games because one is in Mestalla with the support of their fans, and this will be in another country but we will do our best to make the fans happy, which is always our ultimate goal. Valencia are a very competitive team, that know how to play and win, that can match any team and that are going to demand us to be at our best if we want to qualify for the final; and to a match where anything can happen".
