The Frenchman sits sixteenth on the all-time Real Madrid appearances list with 463.
Karim Benzema equalled the number of competitive Real Madrid games played by Butragueño in the team’s clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Both players have disputed 463 matches to sit joint sixteenth on the club’s all-time appearances list. The next legend in the Frenchman’s sights, is Amancio, on 471.
 
The forward has netted 222 goals for the club to date, making him Real Madrid’s sixth-highest ever scorer. He’s enjoying a particularly impressive campaign this time around, as both the team’s leading scorer to date (30) and having made the most appearances (51). He is also just two goals from his best ever tally, the 32 he notched in 2011/12. In his 463 appearances he’s managed 320 wins (69%) and lifted 17 trophies.
 
Butragueño
The club’s current Director of Institutional Relations played for the first team from 1984 to 1995 and was a standout player for Real Madrid during one of their most successful spells. He netted 171 goals (tenth best tally in the club’s history) and won 6 LaLiga titles, 2 UEFA Cups, 2 Copa del Rey trophies, 1 Copa de la Liga and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
