"We've worked with good intensity over these two weeks and are just focused on having a strong finish to the season", declared the coach.
Zinedine Zidane addressed the media gathered at Real Madrid City on the eve of his side's meeting with Huesca (Sunday, 8:45pm CET), with the coach previewing the encounter in the following terms: "The vibes in the camp are really good. We haven't had much time together, but we can't change anything about the international break. We've had two very good weeks, in which we've worked with intensity and we're in very good shape. That's the most important thing ahead of tomorrow's game".

"Huesca are in need of the points are we know that. I've seen a lot of them, which also goes for every team we play. They're a side that deserve to have picked up more points and they'll come here to play their game and try and upset our players. What I'm most interested in is what we're going to do. We're in very good shape, we've put in some really good work, we're fine fitness-wise, and are going to need to put in a good performance if we're to take all three points".

Sergio Ramos
"We wished him a happy birthday. He's our captain and leader. This is very much his home and I'm certain that he'll go on and play for many more years than I did. He looks after himself and is very professional. He's a key player for the team and this club".

"There's a lot of talking that goes on. People are entitled to their opinions and everyone can think what they like. The most important thing is what the player thinks. He's at home here, he's been here for eight years now and has done a terrific job. I don't agree with what people have been saying about him of late.I see him as being happy and focused on his daily work".

"He's not in a good way and that's why he didn't train. He's got a problem with his right rectus femoris, there's some discomfort there and we'll have a look at it now. The doctors need to see exactly how long he'll be out for. As the coach, I'm not going to take any risks with players who feel any discomfort. He played for his national team and I think that he'll be out for just a few days, but he won't be available for tomorrow".

"I understand that because you've got to have something to talk about. We've got 10 games to go and that's the only thing we've got to focus on as we try and finish the season strongly. I'm not going to speak on behalf of my players, who are under contract, and you've got to respect that. They fight and battle and have to be respected.
What's more, I'm not going to talk about any player who isn't mine because they also deserve respect, they're under contract at other clubs. Although that doesn't mean to say that there won't be changes, because I prefer to make that clear. I don't need anybody else between now and the end of the season".

A case of convincing the players
"No, because they're at the best club in the world, and they know that. It's not just any old player that can come and play here. I'm nobody to be telling them anything. They're motivated enough to know what club they're at and all of them want to stay put".

Casemiro's comments that Zidane never left
"Yes, it's true. I stayed here, watched all of the games and saw what went on. I share that feeling. It was tough because the decision that I took to leave was a difficult one, but I was here and saw everything that went on because Madrid is my home, not just Real Madrid but the city as a whole. The Spanish have given me a great welcome and it's also important to live a good life and life is good here".

"I'm not going to comment on next year, we've got 10 games to go and [Gareth] Bale is an important member of the squad. We know all about his quality and what he's done here at Madrid, for example, what he did in the Champions League final. He has a lot to offer the team and we'll be counting on him".

Luca to play tomorrow
"You'll find out tomorrow, he's Real Madrid's third-choice goalkeeper and tomorrow he'll be... I'm not going to tell you".

"He's a very good player, he's got a future at Real Madrid and we'll have to see what we do with him next season".

Benzema & Varane
"Karim has been at the club for many years now. He's having one of his best seasons and he had some great campaigns in the past. I'm not surprised by that because he's got real quality to link up with his teammates and score goals. He receives criticism when he doesn't score, but he never gives up and always gives his all for the team. I see Varane as being in good shape, there'll always be rumours, that's to be expected. He's Real Madrid's fourth captain and he continues to make progress".

National teams
"I watched Spain's first game and they played really well. I also saw highlights of all of the other matches because there were several that I couldn't watch live on account of the kick-off times".

Piqué's comments
"I'm sorry but I haven't seen them".

"Nowadays we can't say whether a player is worth 100, 150, 200 million euros... that's something that the clubs dictate. When I joined the club it was at a price of 70 or 72 million euros and people said that was madness. We know just what a player he is, but he's not my player. Out of respect for him, PSG, our club and our players, I'm not going to comment".

"I really like him, I know him personally and he's a different kind of player. He brings a lot to the table and there are few players out there who offer as much as he does. He's capable of attacking and defending, he's able to do everything. He's not a member of my squad, he plays for Manchester United and you've got to respect that. As for what he said about Real Madrid... if when his time in Manchester comes to an end and he wants to come here, why would he not sign for Real Madrid?"
