Solari: "Real Madrid's strength always lies in the group"

"We're facing a lot of issues, what with the injured players, but we'll all be going out together to beat Betis", added the coach.
Santiago Solari addressed the press gathered inside the media room at Real Madrid City after having overseen the team's final training session ahead of Sunday's trip to Betis (8:45pm CET). The Whites' boss previewed the visit to the Benito Villamarín in the following terms: "We'll all be going there looking for the win, as we always do. We've had a lot of issues, we've got a number of players out injured, but we'll be trying to get them back as soon as possible. It's no secret that we need all of them back and available. We'll take a critical approach to it, we'll look at the reasons behind it and see where we can improve".

"It'll be a tough game, just like they all are in the top flight. There's no such thing as an easy game in LaLiga, that's what makes it an attractive league for the supporters, not just for the Spanish followers but for foreign fans too. It's widely followed across the world because of just how competitive it is and because there are no easy games. Betis will look to try and outperform us in terms of possession and dominate things".

Vinicius Jr.
"We don't know whether he'll be involved tomorrow, we need to wait a bit before announcing the squad list, but we'll know either way during the course of the day. Real Madrid's strength lies in the group, the squad is made up of 24 players. It's true that it's always tough for very young players to come into a team that has won the Champions League three times in a row. It's a positive sign that an 18-year-old lad has come in and is performing so well".

Three fronts
"All of the players are important and will continue to be so. We're involved in three competitions, we're going all out in all of them and tomorrow we take on Betis looking to cut the gap on those above us, which is our target in LaLiga".

Betis will look to try and outperform us in terms of possession and dominate things.

"I've got 24 players and I'd love for all of them to be able to play more. The toughest job for a coach is to pick up your team and to have to leave some players out and to name your squad list and for some of them to miss out. Right now, nobody is being left out for other reasons and it's even more of a thankless task".

"I wouldn't call it unfortunate, it's all part and parcel of the job. It's true that we've got a long injury list, but we'll take a critical approach and are keen to improve things and reduce the time the players are out for, because we need them and they're all important to us".
Mariano's chances of being involved against Betis
"He's getting stronger and we'll announce the squad list later on today. All options are still open for tomorrow's game".

"Isco is doing fine, just like all of the players who are training at the moment. We want the players who can't train to recover because we need them back to give us more options. We'll have to see who plays tomorrow, the squad list hasn't been completely decided on yet".

Advice for Isco
"I'm nobody to be offering advice to anybody. They're all experienced, have won titles and are established top-flight players. A player who joins a Primera club and spends a long time in the top tier has all the experience they need to know what they should do".
