Abalde: “I'm expecting a tough and long match against Monaco”
“It's a very nice time of the year and getting victories to keep our fans happy would be special,” added the Madridista.
Alberto Abalde spoke ahead of the Monaco-Real Madrid game, on matchday 18 of the Liga ACB (Friday, 7.30 pm CET): “We're looking forward to it. It's an important match and a challenge against a great opponent who, like all teams, will probably go through their moments in the season, but they have a great team and they will be very competitive to be at the top throughout the year.”
“They're an opponent to beat and it's an away trip. It's always difficult to play there because they play very well. We're up for it.”
Monaco’s threat
“Against a team with so many weapons and so many playmakers, it's going to be a challenge. We're going to try to put in a great performance and be consistent so that it's hard for them to score and they don't play with rhythm. From that defence, we will try to get the rhythm of the game to find good situations in attack as well.”
What type of game is he expecting?
“A long and tough one. We have to be prepared for different moments during the match, keep working from minute one to minute forty. It will be a demanding match.”
