The last meeting for the Whites in this country was against Sparta Prague in the 2001/2002 season.
In their next game, Real Madrid travel to the Czech Republic to play matchday four in the Group Stage of the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen (Wednesday, 9pm CET). A country that the Whites have not visited for 17 years, when on the way to la Novena they came up against Sparta in Prague.
This last memory in Czech lands is positive for the Whites, who won 3-2 at the Letná Stadium. It was November 21, 2001 on matchday two in the Group Stage of the Champions League, and Real Madrid had to go ahead on the scoreboard three times to get the win.  Zidane and Morientes (2) scored the goals.
Czech teams
Throughout history Real Madrid have played against four Czech teams. Against Sparta Prague, in both the European Cup and the UEFA Cup, a competition in which they also faced Sigma Olomuc. Dukla Prague were one of the opponents in the 1964/65 European Cup, while Viktoria Plzen are the latest to join the list.
