Round of matches ends for Real Madrid players in action with their countries

James and Cristiano hit winners for Colombia and Portugal, while Kroos gets on the scoresheet as Germany draw.
The second round of international matches has come to a close for the 14 Real Madrid players called upon by their countries. Cristiano scored in Portugal's win over Denmark, while Kroos got Germany's goal in a draw. Modric, Bale and Carvajal tasted victory in their European Championship qualifiers. There were also friendly matches in which France, featuring Benzema and Varane, beat Armenia (0-3), James Rodríguez hit the winner for Colombia against Canada (0-1), Keylor Navas's Costa Rica thumped South Korea (1-3), and Chicharito was involved in a win against Panama (1-0). Meanwhile, the Spanish Under-21s lost against Serbia.

Carvajal starts for Spain in Luxembourg
The Spanish national team claimed a comfortable 0-4 away win over Luxembourg in their third match in qualifying for the European Championship in France in 2016, with the goals coming from Silva, Alcácer, Costa and Bernat. Following their defeat against Slovakia (2-1) on the previous matchday, Spain picked up the three points at the Stade Josy Barthel. Carvajal was in the starting line-up and played the whole match, while Casillas did not feature.

Chicharito wins against Panama with Mexico
The Real Madrid striker played his second friendly of the week with the Mexican national team. After scoring the opening goal in the 2-0 victory over Honduras, Chicharito also started against Panama in Querétaro. The forward played 81 minutes during his country's 1-0 win.

Cristiano Ronaldo secures a win for Portugal win
Cristiano Ronaldo once again proved decisive as Portugal beat Denmark (0-1). The Real Madrid man hit the mark with a header in added time to earn his country all three points. Pepe also started the match. The Portuguese were beaten by France (2-1) in a friendly on Saturday.

Benzema and Varane triumph with France against Armenia 
The hosts of the upcoming European Championship overcame Armenia (0-3) in what was their second friendly of the week. Varane started in the centre of the French defence, while Benzema, who scored during Saturday's win over Portugal, came on in the 87th minute.

Kroos scores a cracker against the Republic of Ireland
The Real Madrid midfielder got Germany's only goal during a draw against the Republic of Ireland. Kroos put his country ahead with a shot from outside the box that made its way into the bottom corner. As well as this draw, the World Champions lost to Poland (2-0) in their previous match. 

Modric scores against Azerbaijan
The Real Madrid man played 60 minutes and scored one in Croatia's win over Azerbaijan (6-0), getting the fifth from the penalty spot. In the win over Bulgaria (0-1) in his side's previous game, the midfielder featured for the full 90 minutes.

Bale enjoys win over Cyprus with Wales
Gareth Bale played the whole match in his team's triumph over Cyprus (2-1). The Madrid player was a constant threat to the visitors and came very close to scoring on several occasions. Wales's win comes after a draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina (0-0) in their previous match.

Stunning strike from James in the friendly against Canada 
Colombia, with the Real Madrid star in their starting line-up, beat Canada 0-1. James, who played 81 minutes, scored a terrific second-half goal from outside of the area. In addition to this match, the Colombians beat El Salvador 3-0 in their first friendly.

Keylor Navas starts in the win over South Korea
The Real Madrid goalkeeper travelled to Asia for two games with Costa Rica. The first, against Oman, finished with a 3-4 win, while the second, with the Real Madrid man in the starting line-up, saw them beat South Korea 1-3 in Seoul.

The Spanish Under-21s are knocked out of the 2015 Euros
The Spain Under-21 team was unable to get past Serbia in the qualification play-off for the 2015 European Championship in the Czech Republic. After the first leg ended scoreless between the sides, the Spaniards, with Isco in the starting XI, lost in Cádiz (2-1). Pacheco did not play.
