Higuain has achieved more of Madrid's first goals in la Liga than any other player

One of the areas in which Gonzalo Higuain has stood out most this season is in opening the scoring. The Whites' forward, who has scored 15 goals in la Liga, has scored Real Madrid's first goal on 10 occasions. He's the player on the squad to have done so most times, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has managed it nine times. In addition, Higuain is having a lot of success in away matches. In fact, he has clocked up more goals in the championship away from the Bernabeu (eight) than as the home side (seven).

Higuain started out the season as one of the most decisive players on the team. The Argentinian scored on six of the first ten match days, scoring Real Madrid's first goal on five of them. Since then, he also opened the scoring against Valencia, Mallorca, Levante, Espanyol and Real Sociedad. In total, Higuain has scored the Whites' first goal in ten matches, one more than Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Argentinian is offering his best performance in away matches this championship. He has scored in the last three away matches that he played. On match day 31 he concluded the win in San Mames 0-3. On the visit to Cornella-El Prat on match day 35 he scored Real Madrid's only goal and in Anoeta he scored the first goal in the 6th minute.
