A true madridista legend, Sergio Ramos is one of the greatest players in our club's history. The hero of La Décima with his unforgettable 93rd-minute goal in Lisbon, he captained the team to lift La Duodécima and La Decimotercera. Four European Cups take pride of place in a trophy haul of 22 titles, including 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 5 LaLiga titles, 2 Copas del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
On the 8th of September 2005, at 19 years of age, he was presented at the Santiago Bernabéu alongside Florentino Pérez and Alfredo Di Stéfano. Two days later, he made his debut against Celta. From then on, over the course of 16 seasons with the team, he made 671 appearances, making him the club's fourth-highest all-time appearance maker, topped only by Raúl (741), Casillas (725) and Sanchís (710). He also found the net an incredible 101 times, a truly amazing figure for a defender.
Beyond his impressive numbers, he'll long hold a place in madridista hearts thanks to his big performances on historic nights. As well as the goal against Atlético on the way to lifting La Décima, he also found the net in the Club World Cup finals of 2014 and 2018, and the European Super Cup in 2016, not to mention converting the decisive spot-kick in the 2020 Spanish Super Cup final.
On an individual note, Ramos has been named in the FIFA FIFPro World 11, some 11 times (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020). He won the Golden Ball at the 2014 Club World Cup, he's been named the best defender in the Champions League twice (2017 and 2018), and was Man of the Match in the 2016 Champions League final and the European Sup Cup the same year.
