At the beginning of the eighties, a group of friends always gathered to see the Real Madrid matches in a cafeteria in our town, called 'the prelude.' It was called that because it was the royal cinema hall. At that time we could not imagine that these meetings were going to be the embryo of what a few years later became a Madrid Peña. The group was formed by twenty friends. Possibly, some more desire than others to formalize our meetings in Association or Peña. This is how we started in the middle of the year 1986 to fix everything necessary to constitute our Real Madrid Peña. It was not an easy task, since at that time there were almost no other rocks in the province with which we could contact to request information. The Real Madrid Paña “Ciudad de Vera” was founded, according to the Foundational Act, in Vera (Almería), on November eighteen, one thousand nine hundred and eighty -six, its foundational partners being D. Juan Francisco Soler Rodríguez, Mr. Ramón Carmona Ramírez, Mr. Antonio Martínez Gerez, Mr. Santos Fernández García, Mr. Diego Núñez Soler and D. Pedro Cayuela Rodríguez. For a long period of time it was a partner, Ramón Carmona Ramírez, who maintained contact with Real Madrid and with supporters, making it possible for our rock not to disappear, holding the presidency for a long period of time. He was the one who convened a meeting where the convenience of choosing a new board of directors that was able to manage the destinations of our association with success was seen. And this was like one of our most beloved partners, Francisco Alonso Fernández, was elected president and from there a place was rented, a television was bought, they gave us the furniture, a bar for a small bar was enabled ... very humble, but cozy. All this time we have been doing different activities: leisure, sports, social ... and above all one that for the rock has been fundamental: the sale of weekly lottery. Thanks to it, our headquarters has changed greatly, since furniture and a new television have been bought, the wooden walls have been lined, we manage the payment of the quotas through the Internet since we have a computer equipment, the bar is managed by a partner ... All that and our desire to see our team win makes the headquarters stay small Sunday after Sunday. Almost all Real Madrid matches ask for tickets to go see it to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. We also organize a bus trip for the Peña partners, once to the quarter. Currently our Peña has about one hundred and fifty (150) partners between adults and children.
