Brazil played their opening Copa America game in a draw against Costa Rica at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood (California). Vini Jr, Rodrygo and Militão all started. Vini Jr. played 70 minutes and was replaced by Endrick. Both Rodrygo, who was his team's best player, and Militão played the whole match. Brazil had chances to win the game but were unable to get the better of the Costa Rican team.
