Valverde signed for our club from Peñarol in the 2016/17 season and started his career playing for Castilla. His good performances led him to join Deportivo de La Coruña in the Primera División the following season and from there he returned to play in the first team. The Real Madrid man is proving to be a key player in one of the club's most successful periods after winning La Decimoquinta and the 36th league title last season. He is also a full international with Uruguay.
