Today marks 57 years since the sixth European Cup
NEWS.
The Heysel Stadium Brussels was the setting for Real Madrid's sixth European Cup triumph, 57 years ago today. Our team added to their legendary status with an impressive win over Partizan in the final. In order to get their hands on the trophy, Miguel Muñoz's team had to come from behind following Vasovic's opener, and they did so in stunning fashion with two gorgeous strikes by Amancio and Serena.

The first was a moment of magic by the Galician legend, who got the better of his man before giving the keeper no chance with his fierce effort. The second was scored by Serena with a long-range piledriver. The double saw Real Madrid turn the game on its head in just six minutes to lift the trophy six years on from the last time.

Unbeaten at home
On the way to the final, our team won every single one of their games at the Bernabéu, beating Feyenoord, Kilmarnock and Anderlecht in the early rounds. In the semi-finals they saw off Inter Milan, winners of the previous two editions.
