NEWS.
On 5 July 1975, Real Madrid's football team won their 13th Copa de España. Atlético de Madrid were our opponents in the final, which was held at the Vicente Calderón. The game finished goalless, before our boys ran out winners in the penalty shootout 4-3. Amancio, Pirri, Rubiñán and Aguilar all scored from the spot for the madridistas.

On their way to the Vicente Calderón finale, the team beat Orense over two legs in the Round of 16, came back from a 4-0 first-leg defeat to edge past Las Palmas in the quarters and then were too strong for Zaragoza in the semis. The squad was coached by Miljan Miljanic, who clinched the League-Cup double that year.
