Real Madrid's third 100%-win record in Champions League group stage
The Whites previously achieved this feat in the 2011/12 and 2014/15 seasons.
Real Madrid record their sixth victory in this year’s Champions League at Berlin’s Olympiastadion to record a 100%-win record in the group stage. This is the third time that the Whites have achieved this feat, following the feats of the 2011/12 and 2014/15 editions. Only Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have finished the group stage three times in the history of the Champions League, having won all their matches.
Real Madrid's first clean sweep was in 2011, when Mourinho's side beat Olympique Lyon, Ajax and Dynamo Zagreb in all six games. The next time, with Ancelotti in charge, was in 2014 and the opponents in the group were Liverpool, Basel and Ludogorets. In this year's edition, the team has won every game against Napoli, Braga and Union Berlin.
