Real Madrid lifted their sixth Spanish Cup On 6 May 1934. We played Valencia in the final at Montjuïc in Barcelona. The first half was a very closely contested affair and all three goals would come in the second half. Valencia were the first to score, but Madrid's reaction was swift and in just two minutes our team came from behind with goals from Hilario and Lazcano to take the title.

Real Madrid, who also won the Commonwealth Championship that season, overcame Osasuna round of 16, Athletic quarter-finals and Betis semi-finals on the road to the final.
