Modrić, Vini Jr. and Bellingham nominated for 2023 Ballon d'Or
The three madridistas are among the 30 nominees for the trophy, which will be awarded by 'France Football' on 30 October in Paris.
Modrić, Vini Jr. and Bellingham are among the 30 nominees for the 2023 Ballon d'Or, which will be awarded by France Football on 30 October at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. The winner of this accolade is chosen by international journalists, who decide on the basis of each player's achievements in the 2022/23 season.
Vini Jr. had an outstanding campaign where he was exceptional in attack with 23 goals and 16 assists. Modrić, who scooped this prestigious award in 2018, delivered another magisterial season 52 appearances and 6 goals for Real Madrid and had a fantastic World Cup in which he led Croatia to third place. Both were instrumental in winning three trophies with the Whites last season: the Club World Cup, the Uefa Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
Meanwhile, Bellingham, who has also been nominated for the Kopa Trophy, joined our club this summer after being voted best footballer in the 2022/23 Bundesliga. Last season, he scored 14 goals in all competitions and was a regular starter for England at the World Cup in Qatar.
