Real Madrid were crowned champions of the Intercontinental Cup for the third time 20 years ago. It was on December 3rd, 2002, that our team won the third of its seven world championship titles and this was even achieved during the club's centennial year. It was the end of a glorious 2002 in which we had won the ninth Champions League and the first European Super Cup.
