The star of this week's instalment of Historic Goals is Manolo Sanchís. A one-club man, he was educated in madridismo by his father from a young age. After arriving at Real Madrid at just 12 years of age, he went on to form part of the Quinta del Buitre. He retired at the end of the 2000/01 campaign following 18 years in the first team.

Shortly before half-time, Sanchís took flight and arrowed an incredible diving header into the back of the net to add to the madridistas' lead.
