Courtois, 200 wins for Real Madrid: "The important thing was to win and get the three points"

Courtois recorded his 200th victory for Real Madrid against Alavés. At the end of the match, our goalkeeper declared: “It's great to reach 200 victories and that's fine, but this year we have to add many more. Today we showed a lot of character. In the end, we went for the win and it came from a brilliant individual effort. It was a good victory and we have to keep working”.
“It's a very important victory. The game wasn't our best, but the important thing was to win and get the three points. We have to keep going: win on Wednesday in Talavera and against Sevilla at home to finish the year well”.
The penalty on Vini Jr.
"I'm far away, but of course there's contact from a player. The referee said that for him, the contact was slight and that's why he didn't blow the whistle, but Vini Jr. was coming in at high speed and dribbling quickly. For me, it's a foul. It's one thing to be in the box and get touched a little, but when you're going at that speed, even a slight touch is enough to knock you down. I was surprised, but I'm happy because we won and that penalty wasn't decisive."
His 200 victories are spread across five competitions: LaLiga (143), Champions League (39), Copa del Rey (5), Club World Cup (7), Spanish Super Cup (4) and European Super Cup (2). His most successful season was 2021-22, with 37 games won.
