It was an unforgettable day for Chema. After making his Real Madrid debut in the Copa del Rey against Deportiva Minera, the academy player showed his happiness speaking to Realmadrid TV after playing his first LaLiga match and doing so at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium: “I’m one of the happiest people in the world after fulfilling my dream of making my debut with Real Madrid in LaLiga and even more so in the best stadium in the world, the Santiago Bernabéu”.
“To come on and enjoy the best players in the world is amazing. We were sat on the bench in awe in the first half. To be able to come on for a few minutes and be part of the team is incredible.”
Message to La Fábrica
“The message is that this is the best youth academy in the world and that the door is open to anyone who works and pushes yourself every day. There’s no limit and nobody can stop us from fulfilling our dream of making our Real Madrid debut”.
Lucas Vázquez for inspiration
“Lucas Vázquez is a great reference. Although he doesn't play in my position, he is very serious and on a day-to-day basis he does things very well. He is a very good example to copy”.
Advice from his idols
“The best advice I'm getting is from very experienced players like Lucas, Valverde or even Bellingham, who although he hasn't been here long, is an experienced player. Above all, I'd say to have confidence because that's what they keep telling us. Also that we should not be afraid”.
