The Real Madrid players wore black armbands in the Clásico on matchday 11 of LaLiga in memory of Fernando Fernández-Tapias, first vice-president of Real Madrid and member of all the Boards of Directors chaired by Florentino Pérez from 17 July 2000 to 2 July 2006 and from 1 June 2009 until his passing on 25 October.
He was also a trustee of the Real Madrid Foundation for 20 years. Fernando Fernández-Tapias was a member of Real Madrid for 30 years, since 1993.
