The Real Madrid midfielder hit his country's second goal in their World Cup 2026 qualifying opener.
Uruguay came past Chile in the first game of World Cup 2026 qualifying, as the madridista Valverde captained his nation. He got the second goal with a beautiful strike across goal from outside the box which flew into the top corner.
