Sergio Ramos, another goal in a final
“We deserved the title”, said the captain, who scored the third Real Madrid goal.
Sergio Ramos was again key in a final scored the third Real Madrid goal in the game that decided the Club World Cup 2018. His headed goal was another key one as they beat Al Ain and it led on from his last goal in a final after the one against San Lorenzo in 2014. That was also a header.
After lifting his fourth Club World Cup trophy, Ramos stated: "This is the third consecutive Club World Cup and that's brilliant. We wanted to round the year off with a title and we did just that. We scored several goals. We deserved this title. We are still in every competition and we're doing well. We got a title and that should not be forgotten."
"Real Madrid can never be ruled out, this season we will continue to fight for our goals. Now it's time to relax and spend some time with the family on holiday".
The captain made history in the Champions League final against Atlético. In the final for la Décima, Ramos scored in minute 93 and helped Real Madrid win the title. In la Undécima, he scored the madridistas’ goal in Milan.
