We lifted our sixth Club World Cup six years ago

Real Madrid were crowned world champions for the sixth time on 16 December 2017. On that day, our team beat Brazil's Gremio 1-0 at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. In an evenly contested match, Cristiano Ronaldo's free-kick was enough to retain the title won a year earlier in Japan.

The Portuguese's goal added some more silverware to Madrid's trophy cabinet. Modrić was awarded the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament. With this title, Real Madrid closed the most prolific year in its history in terms of titles.

The semi-final
Our team overcame Al Jazira (1-2) with the Croatian dominating the midfield in the semi-final clash. Modrić set up Cristiano Ronaldo for Zidane's side's first goal and Bale sealed their place in the final with a second.
