Federico Valverde is celebrating his 25th birthday today. The midfielder was born on 22 July 1998 in Montevideo Uruguay and is about to start out on his sixth season with the Real Madrid first team. He made his debut back in October 2018 in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen and has gone on to make 204 appearances for the madridistas since. He already boasts nine trophies: 1 Champions League, 2 Club World Cups, 1 European Super Cup, 2 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups.
Valverde joined our club from Peñarol in the 2016/17 campaign and started out playing for Castilla. The following season he played Primera División football on loan at Deportivo de La Coruña before coming back to play for Real Madrid. Last season saw him set a personal best goal and assists tally, notching 12 and 6 respectively. He is also a full Uruguay international.
