Federico Valverde is celebrating his 24th birthday today. The midfielder was born in Montevideo Uruguay on 22 July 1998 and is embarking on his fifth season in Real Madrid's first team. The Uruguayan made his debut in 2018 in the Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen and has gone on to make 148 appearances in Whites' colours. He's already won six trophies as a madridista: 1 Champions League, 2 LaLigas, 2 Spanish Super Cups and 1 Club World Cup.

Valverde joined our club from Peñarol in the 2016/17 season and started out playing for Castilla. His impressive performances saw him gain Primera División experience on loan at Deportivo de La Coruña, before coming back to play in our first team. He made more appearances in a single campaign than ever before last time out 46 and was in the starting line-up in the final that yielded La Decimocuarta against Liverpool. He is also a full Uruguay international.
