Today marks 69 years since Real Madrid got their hands on a third LaLiga title. On 18 April 1954, the team clinched the title with a convincing win over Valencia in the penultimate game of the campaign 4-0. Di Stéfano hit a hat-trick in the clash, while Roque Olsen was the other goalscorer.

The result saw Real Madrid win the league title for the first time since 1933. That season was Alfredo Di Stéfano's first at the club, the beginning of his legendary career, as he also scooped the competition's Pichichi Trophy.
