Real Madrid won their fourth world championship trophy nine years ago. Our team beat San Lorenzo 2-0 in the final of the Club World Cup held in Marrakech (Morocco) on 20 December 2014. Sergio Ramos was the star of this tournament, as he scored in the semi-final and the final and was voted Golden Ball.
Ramos scored the first goal in the 37th minute in the match against San Lorenzo and Bale decided the game with his goal in the second half. Real Madrid took on Mexican side Cruz Azul in the semi-final and won 4-0 thanks to goals from Ramos, Benzema, Bale and Isco. This was the first tournament to be won in the Club World Cup format and the fourth trophy of a great 2014 after winning La Décima, the Copa del Rey and the European Super Cup.
