Today marks seven years since Real Madrid's basketball team lifted their 25th Copa del Rey. On 22 February 2015, our team got the better of Barcelona in the final at the Gran Canaria Arena 71-77. Rudy was the standout performer with 16 points and a PIR of 26, being named MVP. Ayón, Sergio Rodríguez and Nocioni, each with 10 points, also delivered impressive games.
Beforehand, Real Madrid overcame Zaragoza 85-73 in the quarter-finals and were too good for Joventut in the semis 83-100. The win saw Laso's boys retain the title they had won the previous year and move one step closer to winning five titles in a year - the Euroleague, the Intercontinental Cup, the League, the Copa del Rey and the Super Cup.
