Our club's honorary president since 2022
Amancio was unanimously chosen by the Representative Members on 2 October.
On 2 October 2022, the Extraordinary General Assembly of Members unanimously voted to appoint Amancio Amaro as the club's honorary president. Speaking at the event, Florentino Pérez said: 'I suggest, for everything he has achieved in the Real Madrid jersey, for what he represents within the history of our club and for the promotion of our values throughout his professional career, that Amancio Amaro should be Real Madrid's new honorary president'.

My dear Amancio, I'm sure that Gento would be proud that you are the one to take over from him as Real Madrid's honorary president'.
