On April 12, 2016, Pedro de Felipe, who was a Real Madrid player from 1964 to 1972, passed away at the age of 71. Coming through the youth ranks, he triumphed in the first team by becoming one of the defensive pillars of the  Real Madrid yeyé team. He won 1 European Cup, 5 Leagues and 1 Spanish Cup in his eight seasons as a Real Madrid player.

Pedro Eugenio de Felipe was born in Madrid on July 18, 1944 and in his career, the sixth European Cup win stands out, when at only 21 years of age he was in the starting line-up in all the key matches of that edition. Together with ZocoAmancioGento and Pirri, among others, he restored Real Madrid’s continental supremacy in the historic 1966 final against Partizan. He played 170 games in the first team and succeeded another legend in the defense, Santamaría. He was also capped once by the Spanish national team.
