Funeral service for Rafael Rullán
The club president went to the Sagrados Corazones church to accompany the family of one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and European basketball.
The Sagrados Corazones church in Madrid held the funeral service for Rafael Rullán, who passed away on 4 May. The religious ceremony in memory of one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and European basketball was attended by the club president, Florentino Pérez, and members of the Board of Directors. Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, and other club legends were also present to accompany Rafael Rullán’s family.
Rullán, who died at the age of 73, played for Real Madrid for 18 seasons. During those two decades, from 1969 to 1987, he won 3 European Cups, 4 Intercontinental Cups, 1 European Cup Winners' Cup, 14 league titles, 9 Copa de España trophies and 1 Spanish Super Cup. He was also associated with Real Madrid throughout most of his life.
