Real Madrid club president Florentino Pérez attended the reception at the Spanish Embassy in Saudi Arabia on the eve of the Super Cup final. The event, which was held the day before the title match, was also attended by Joan Laporta, Barcelona president; Pedro Rocha, president of the Management Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation; and Jorge Hevia, Spanish ambassador to Saudi Arabia. An exchange of gifts took place during the reception.
