Real Madrid captured the crown after picking up a point against Sevilla in the third-from-last matchday.
Today marks the 58th anniversary of Real Madrid's 10th LaLiga crown. On 12 April 1964, our team were mathematically crowned champions in the third-from-last matchday thanks to a 1-1 stalemate at home to Sevilla. A Puskas strike with three minutes to play saw the madridistas secure the point required to clinch a fourth straight LaLiga trophy and the 10th league title success since the club's inception.
Miguel Muñoz's charges ended the 1963/64 campaign with 46 points, whilst Barcelona finished runners-up on 42 points. Puskas, claimed the Pichichi Trophy in the season thanks to a 21-goal haul, whilst Vicente landed the Zamora Trophy.
