We won our 11th Spanish Super Cup four years ago
Real Madrid beat Atlético in the final in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 12 January 2020.
It was on 12 January 2020 that Real Madrid lifted their eleventh Spanish Super Cup at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was the first edition to be played in the knockout format and also abroad. The madridistas faced Atlético in the final and, after the match ended 0-0, the title was decided in a penalty shoot-out. Our team scored their first four penalties, while their opponents missed two. Valverde was voted MVP of the final.
Previously, the team coached by Zidane had beaten Valencia in the semi-finals. The match was a match to remember, with an Olympic goal from Kroos opening the way to victory. Isco and Modrić, after a great personal effort, sealed their place in the final 1-3.
