OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

Real Madrid C. F., its President and its Board of Directors profoundly regret the passing of Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallo, a legend of Brazilian and world football.
Real Madrid would like to express its condolences and affection to his family, his teammates, his clubs and all his loved ones.
As a player, Zagallo played for America FC, Flamengo and Botafogo, and was a World Cup winner with Brazil in 1958 and 1962.
He became a coaching legend. He managed numerous Brazilian and Middle Eastern teams. As Brazil coach, he won the 1970 World Cup, the Copa America and the 1997 Confederations Cup. In 1994, he also won the World Cup as assistant coach to Carlos Alberto Parreira, becoming a four-time World Cup winner.
As coach of the Saudi Arabian national team, he won the AFC Asian Cup in 1984.
Zagallo passed away at the age of 92. May he rest in peace.
