Amancio won the league in 9 of his 14 seasons at Real Madrid. The Galician played 344 games in this competition, scoring 119 goals. He was the top scorer in the league on two occasions 1968/69 and 1969/70.
 
1962/63: Success in his first season
Amancio was already an important player in his first season at Real Madrid, finishing as the team's second top scorer with 14 goals. He formed a legendary attack alongside Puskas, Gento and Di Stéfano. Our team won the title convincingly ahead of Atlético, who finished second.
 
1963/64: Title on Di Stéfano's farewell
In Di Stéfano's last season before joining Espanyol, Amancio scored 6 goals to retain the championship. The league title was won on the penultimate matchday finishing above Barcelona in the league table.
 
1964/65: Third league in a row
A clean sweep of league titles in his first three seasons. Amancio chipped in with nine goals to the team coached by Miguel Muñoz, who won the title on the last day of the season after beating Sevilla away from home.
 
1966/67: The European champs win again in Spain
After making history by winning the European Cup for the sixth time, Real Madrid reclaimed league glory a season later. Amancio scored 7 goals this season, partnering Gento and Grosso in the attack.
 
1967/68: 10 goals to retain the title
Real Madrid won the title again with three players tied as the team's top scorers. Amancio, Velázquez and Pirri scored 10 goals in a close contest with Barcelona and Las Palmas. The champion was decided mathematically at the Bernabéu in a match against the team from the Canary Islands on the penultimate matchday.
 
1968/69: Top scorer in his sixth league title
Amancio was once again instrumental in winning the league for the third year in a row. The forward scored 14 goals and was the league's top scorer, equal with Gárate Atlético. This was also his last league title beside Gento. He would once again become top scorer the following season, recording his best goal-scoring tally in this competition 16, but he was unable to lift the title.
 
1971/72: Goal scorer in the crucial match
He won the league title again three years later. In a very evenly matched campaign with Valencia, Amancio broke the deadlock in the key match against Sevilla at the Bernabéu on the last day of the season. He scored six league goals that term.
 
1974/75: League glory returns with Miljanic
After a historic period with Miguel Muñoz as coach, his successor, Miljanic, won the league in his first season. Amancio, who was now 35 years old, contributed his experience in the new forward line consisting of Santillana and Roberto Martínez winning his eighth title.
 
1975/76: Farewell with a ninth league title
Fourteen seasons after making his Real Madrid debut, Amancio brought his career at our club to an end with another league title. Scoring 4 goals in 19 games, in a season that was decided on the penultimate day of the season with a win in Granada. He was able to celebrate winning the championship in his last official match with the Bernabéu fans in the derby against Atlético.
