Real Madrid won the basketball league title for the sixth time 59 years ago. The team coached by Joaquín Hernández sealed the title mathematically on 28 April 1963 in the penultimate game of the final phase thanks to a 112-66 win over Joventut. It was the fourth time in a row that our team won the National League title, going on to secure their dominance in Spanish basketball by winning the next three championships to make it seven in a row.

In the latter stage, they scored 11 points to 9 against Estudiantes and Joventut.
