Real Madrid won their tenth basketball league title 54 years ago. Our team was declared champions mathematically with two games to spare on 24 March 1968 following an away win over Picadero 48-53. Pedro Ferrándiz's team won Real Madrid's tenth league title in the first 12 seasons of the competition and it was a historic campaign in which they also claimed their fourth European Cup.

Real Madrid finished top of the 11-team league with 18 wins from 20 games, two wins clear of Estudiantes and Joventut. Clifford Luyk was the top scorer that term with 486 points and an average of 24.3 per game.
